About Me

Hello, I’m Kasi Daniel Raj—a technology professional, lifelong learner, and someone who finds joy in both solving complex problems and exploring the mysterious side of storytelling.

With over 16 years of professional experience—including 14 years in technical roles and 2 years in non-technical domains—I have built a well-rounded perspective on both the technical and human sides of the IT world. Currently, I work as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) at a reputed bank, where I focus on ensuring the stability, performance, and security of critical database systems that support large-scale enterprise operations.

Professional Journey

My career has been shaped by a deep interest in databases and infrastructure. Over the years, I have:

  • Managed and optimized high-availability Oracle environments
  • Handled production-critical systems where reliability is essential
  • Supported complex database operations in fast-paced enterprise environments
  • Gained experience in both hands-on technical work and broader organizational processes

This blend of technical depth and contextual understanding allows me to approach challenges with both precision and perspective.

Beyond Work

Outside of my professional life, I value time with my family. I am married and a proud parent of two children, and they are a constant source of motivation and inspiration in my life.

I also enjoy:

  • Listening to music – a way to relax and reset after a busy day
  • Watching horror movies and reading horror content – I am particularly drawn to the suspense, psychology, and storytelling in this genre

Why This Blog

This blog is my space to share:

  • Insights from my experience as an Oracle DBA
  • Lessons learned from real-world technical challenges
  • Thoughts on career growth, problem-solving, and continuous learning
  • Occasional reflections on my interests, including the horror genre and how storytelling connects to broader thinking

A Simple Philosophy

I believe in:

  • Continuous improvement, both professionally and personally
  • Staying curious and open to learning
  • Sharing knowledge to help others grow
